Dr. Debora F. Bergstrom, Owner and Principal Consultant for Bridgehead Enterprises has a Ph.D. in chemistry with years of chemical industry experience in both large and small companies.  Dr. Bergstrom brings to clients an understanding of the roadmap from chemical or material concept to commercial reality.  Based on years of experience in basic research, laboratory feasibility, patenting, product development, commercialization, supervision, management, strategic planning and leadership, she understands the many critical stages in product development. 

Dr. Bergstrom, as former Vice President of Operations at Dendritic NanoTechnologies, directed the manufacture and commercialization of dendrimer nano-polymer materials including product definition, funding proposals, intellectual assets, collaborative agreements, and technology licensing.  She provided team leadership in technical and strategic planning of products and markets for pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology, including applications for imaging agents, drug delivery and gene transfection.  Dr. Bergstrom has worked in a number of roles at Dow Corning Corporation in silicone polymers, silanes and silicate development including discovery research, intellectual property assessments, product development, process trouble shooting, collaborations, technical supervision, leadership, and technical strategy for emerging high growth businesses. She was involved in the early assessment of particulates and nanotechnology in silicon-based materials.  She is author or co-author on over nineteen technical publications and papers, many internal reports, business and market publications.   She is inventor or co-inventor on 8 U.S. patents.

Dr. Bergstrom has worked and traveled in Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania.  She has additional entrepreneurial business contacts in Senegal and South Africa
